How To Cook Chicken Degi Korma Recipe Video Tutorial


Ingredients For Chicken Degi Korma:


  1. Take Oil ¾ Cup 
  2. Take Pyaz (Onion) sliced 1 large 
  3. Take Chicken qorma cut ½ kg 
  4. Take Dahi (Yogurt) whisked ½ Cup 
  5. Take Adrak lehsan paste (Ginger garlic paste) 1 & ½ tbs 
  6. Take Javatri powder (Mace powder) ¼ tsp 
  7. Take Dhania powder (Coriander powder) 1 & ½ tbs 
  8. Take Namak (Salt) 1 tsp or to taste 
  9. Take Jaifil powder (Nutmeg powder) ¼ tsp 
  10. Take Garam masala powder ½ tsp 
  11. Take Lal mirch powder (Red chili powder) 1 tsp or to taste 
  12. Take Laung (Cloves) 5 
  13. Take Hari elaichi (Green cardamom) 5 
  14. Take Sabut kali mirch (Black peppercorns) 13-14 
  15. Take Darchini (Cinnamon sticks) 2-3 
  16. Take Badi elaichi (Black cardamom) 1 
  17. Take Tez paat (Bay leaves) 2 
  18. Take Pani (Water) ½ Cup or as required 
  19. Take Kewra water 1 tbs 
  20. Take Garam masala powder ¼ tsp

Directions For Chicken Degi Korma:


  1. First in a pot, add oil, onion and fry until golden brown (don’t leave unattended).
  2. Then Take out the fried onion and spread on a tissue paper and let them cool.
  3. Then In a blender, add fried onion and grind well & set aside.
  4. Then Leave half cup of oil in the pot (remove excess oil),add chicken,yogurt,ginger garlic paste,mace powder, coriander powder,salt,nutmeg powder,garam masala powder,red chili powder,cloves,green cardamom, black peppercorns,cinnamon sticks,black cardamom,bay leaves and mix well.
  5. Then Turn on the flame and cook on medium-low flame for 6-8 minutes.
  6. Then Cover and cook on low flame for 5 minutes.
  7. Then Add fried & crushed onion, mix well and cook on the medium-low flame until oil separates.
  8. Then add water, kewra water and mix well.
  9. At the end Add garam masala powder, cover and cook on low flame for 5-6 minutes & serve!
