How To Cook Arvi Gosht Recipe Video Tutorial


Ingredients For Arvi Gosht:


  1. Take Arvi (Taro root) ½ kg 
  2. Take Pani (Water) as required 
  3. Take Namak (Salt) ½ tbs 
  4. Take Pyaz (Onion) 1 medium 
  5. Take Tamatar (Tomato) 1 medium 
  6. Take Adrak (Ginger) 1 inch piece 
  7. Take Dahi (Yogurt) whisked ½ Cup 
  8. Take Pyaz (Onion) fried 2-3 tbs 
  9. Take Cooking oil 3-4 tbs 
  10. Take Mutton mix boti ½ kg 
  11. Take Adrak lehsan paste (Ginger garlic paste) 1 tbs 
  12. Take Namak (Salt) 1 tsp or to taste 
  13. Take Lal mirch powder (Red chili powder) 1 tsp or to taste 
  14. Take Haldee powder (Turmeric powder) ½ tsp 
  15. Take Dhania powder (Coriander powder) 1 tbs 
  16. Take Pani (Water) 1 Cup or as required 
  17. Take Pani (Water) 1 & ½ Cups or as required 
  18. Take Garam masala powder ½ tsp 
  19. Adrak (Ginger) julienne 
  20. Hari mirch (Green chili) 
  21. Hara dhania (Fresh coriander) chopped

Directions For Arvi Gosht:


  1. First Peel, cut and wash taro roots properly.
  2. Then In a bowl, add water, taro roots and salt, mix and let it rest for 1 hour then strain & set aside.
  3. Then In the grinder, add onion, tomato, ginger, and water, grind well & set aside.
  4. Then In the grinder, add yogurt, fried onion, grind well & set aside.
  5. Then In a pot, add cooking oil, mutton mix both and mix well until changes color.
  6. Then Add ginger garlic paste and mix well.
  7. Then Add salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder and coriander powder, mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  8. Then Add grinded tomato & onion paste, mix well and cook until oil separates.
  9. Then Add water, mix well and bring it to boil, cover and cook until meat is 3/4th done (25-30 minutes).
  10. Then add grinded yogurt paste and mix well for 2 minutes.
  11. Then Add taro roots and mix well.
  12. Then Add water and mix well, cover and cook on low flame until taro roots & meat are tender (18-20 minutes).
  13. Then Add garam masala powder and mix well.
  14. Then Add ginger, green chili, fresh coriander and mix, cover and simmer for 2 minutes.
  15. At the end Garnish with ginger, fresh coriander & serve.
